Bullying has always been pervasive, especially in school.  Now, with ever-present camera/telephones documenting and the Internet broadcasting every embarrassing moment, kids kill themselves for things that in the past would have been dirty little secrets that no one knew.

The Sacramento Sierra Valley Medical Society Alliance is presenting a conference addressing bullying, the problem and how to address it, on September 21, called Community Health Day: “Peer to Peer Violence.” It is co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and parents, teachers and any interested person can attend.  More information at www.ssvmsa.org in the coming months as details firm up.
